Thank you to our Event Sponsors and Title Sponsors!

The 2023 Three Forks Rodeo was held on July 14th & 15th and another great success!

We want to thank our sponsors and vendors for participating this year.

We look forward to seeing you in 2024 – mark your calendars for July 19 & 20!

2023 highlights:

Kicked off the weekend at the Chamber of Commerce’s Farmers Market and Kids Stick Horse Derby. (For information to sponsor stick horses for the kids in 2024 please contact the Three Forks Chamber of Commerce at 406-285-4753.)

Rodeo action started with a family friendly Friday night with the cowboys and cowgirls of the Northern Rodeo Association. Kids get in free on family night with a donation to the Headwaters Area Food Bank. We collected over 800 pounds of food donations! Featured events were: Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling, Tie Down Roping, Team Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Junior Barrel Racing and Junior Breakaway Roping. New in 2023, we had a specialty trick riding act as our intermission performance! Audrey Snellman and Oli Leininger were great! Check out their video here. After the rodeo the party continued down on Main Street with a street dance and music at both the Sacajawea and Plaza/Frontier ends.

Saturday morning the Three Forks Volunteer Fire Department cooked breakfast for anyone who showed up between 6AM-10AM and donated towards the department. Then the Three Forks Chamber of Commerce closed Main Street and held “Rodeo Dayz” which started with the longest parade in Three Forks’ history that we can remember, followed by vendor specials and sales all day downtown. Saturday night we held another rodeo event, followed by the street dance down Main Street.

How does one enter the barrel racing or is it too late?

I know this reply is WAY late, but participants register through the Northern Rodeo Association for our July event annually. Please reach out to them for 2024.

    Hello,

Do we need to buy entrance tickets? At what time does the evening start at the 14th of July 2023? (Schedule?)
We are traveling with a camper from Yellowstone to Glacier NP and planning an overnight at Three Forks. We would love to come to the Rodeo (with our kids of 19 and 17 years old)

Hi – for the Thursday kids stick horse derby – do the kids just need to show up with a stick horse or is there somewhere i need to register them? thx!

    • admin  says:

This event is put on by the Three Forks Chamber. Please contact them at 406-285-4753. I think you can just show up and participate and the stickhorses are donated by businesses.

Is your Rodeo always the 3rd weekend in July?

    Thank you!

    • admin  says:

Yes. It gets a bit tricky when the 1st of July falls on a Sunday. In that case, it would be considered the first weekend. The dates for the 2014 rodeo will be July 18th & 19th.

We are RV travelers from St Petersburg Florida, now at West Yellowstone MT. We would love to attend a rodeo. We plan on leaving West Yellowstone on the 17 th. We have a forty four foot motor home and need to find an RV park in your area first before we order tickets. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have a very nice campground located just outside of Three Forks. A former KOA, Camp Three Forks is independently owned and operated. You can call for reservations at 406-285-3611 or look them up online at campthreeforks.com. Hope this helps!

    • Barbara  says:

There is also Lewis and Clark State Park about a 20 minute drive from Three Forks. It would be wise to look online for a reservation for a rig of your size. stateparks.mt.gov

Welcome! I’m originally from Tampa, Florida. Check out the Livingston Montana Rodeo too!!!
